We want to express our deepest condolences to you and your family as you mourn Violet passing away. She was a wonderful, sweet lady and God gave you a special gift allowing you to share seventy-two years with her. As Christmas draws near once more we are reminded of the huge Christmas tree you and Allen brought to our home in Upper Coverdale then the visit you and Violet made to see it after it was decorated. We also think of the special time that we shared at our place when you came out for a volleyball game and corn boil along with other couples from Parkside. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I have come to learn that not many people can say their grandparents are still alive when they are in their 40s. I am thankful that Nanny lived such a long life and enjoyed good health for most of her years. I have many memories of her and am thankful that we got to do a couple of special trips through the Rocky Mountains together. One of my favourite memories of Nanny occurred on one such trip when she confidently entered and went looking for open hotel room doors at the iconic Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton National Park in Alberta so she could go into the rooms and see what they looked like. Another special memory was of her treating us to her homemade seafood chowder. I appreciate that she always made time for us to visit with her whenever we were home and always took an interest in our lives, even though we lived so far away. I know she will be greatly missed, and I take comfort that she will live on in the shared memories we have of her.

Sorry to hear of Violets passing and she will be missed but we rejoice in knowing she has gone to a better place and we will see her again. I think about the countless little lives she touched as a faithful Sunday School teacher her ministry was a great one. She had infinite patience. She set many little feet on the right path! Well done, good and faithful servant
