Obituary of Peter Charles Jones

Peter C. Jones, of Meadow Brook, NB; passed away with family by his side at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the age of 66 years. Born in Wrexham Wales, UK on August 11, 1947 he was the son of the late Charles and Joan (Furmston) Jones. Peter enjoyed 15 plus years working with the Anglophone East School District working mostly in the Sackville and Shediac Schools and enjoyed several years prior as service supervisor at Taylor Ford Lincoln in Moncton. His greatest love was the love he shared with his family, grandchildren and last but not least his love for baseball. Peter was heavily involved with the Moncton and Dieppe Minor Baseball leagues and was a member of Baseball New Brunswick. Survived by his wife of 44 years Shirley (Wilson) of Meadow Brook; sons Scott and his wife Julie of Moncton, and Shawn and his wife Mandy of Memramcook; precious grandchildren Haley, Allie, Hannah, Jessica and Jack; sister Christine Lawrence; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Edward "Teddy" Jones. The family wish to express their heartfelt appreciation to the "good samaritans" who witnessed and stopped to help at the scene, this act of courage and kindness allowed our family the opportunity to say goodbye. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Tuesday September 24, 2013 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm & 7:00pm - 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Wednesday September 25, 2013 at 2:00pm with Rev. Jeff Irving officiating. There will be a reception in the funeral home reception center following the service. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
