Obituary of Merlin "Mitch" Mitchell

Merlin "Mitch" Mitchell, age 59 of Moncton passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 21, 2014 with his wife by his side. Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of the late Merlin Mitchell Sr. Mitch was employed as a truck driver for many years. He was a fan of NASCAR Racing and enjoyed watching his favorite driver, Tony Stewart. Mitch was an avid washer toss player and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends over many games at the campground. Mitch will be remembered by his wife, Dawn Comeau of Moncton; daughter, Angela Priede of Fredericton and son, Jeffrey of Moncton, step children, Lisa (Dino) DiBonaventura of Moncton, Crystal Comeau of Salisbury; and Craig (Riley) Clorey of High River, Alberta; 8 grandchildren, Jordan, Callie, Alexa, Matteo, Sullivan, Isla, Norah and Thomas; as well as a very special aunt, Alfreda Mitchell of Moncton. In addition to his father, Mitch was predeceased by his son-in-law, MCpl. Darrell Priede in 2007. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd, Riverview, NB (587-8564). A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 2-4 pm at the funeral home.
