Obituary of Irene C. Rietzel

It is with sadness we announce the death of Irene Cynthia Rietzel at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 following a brief illness. Born in Moncton, NB. she was the daughter of the late Dosithé and Elise (Duguay) LeBlanc. She was a former parishioner of Notre Dame de Grace, Moncton, and in later years attended church at Villa Heritage Elmwood Dr. where she assisted as a reader at the weekly mass. She was a gentle and caring women, a lover of all pets and was always ready for a game of cards. Always remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be sadly missed by her three children Michael (Tracy) Brian (Krista) and Shawn (Nadine), her adoring grandchildren Courtney, Brianna, Kelsey and Austin; and by her siblings Catherine Goggin (Gordon) and Bernadette Williams (Roger) Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers Daniel and Ronald. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the Notre Dame de Grace Church, Mountain Rd, Moncton, Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 10:00 am until the time of the mass. The Funeral mass will be held at Notre Dame de Grace Church, Moncton, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 am with Fr. Jean Guy Dallaire officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB in the spring. Donations in Irene's memory made to the Moncton SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
