Obituary of John "Jack" A. Whitenect
John "Jack" A. Whitenect, 93 years, of Riverview, NB; passed away at Monarch Hall, on Monday, June 29, 2015. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Fred A. and Emma E. (Page) Whitenect. John was a Veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy (1941-1945) and an accountant with the Protestant Schools of Greater Montreal for 40 years. Following retirement, John and his wife Catherine moved back to Moncton in 1988. John served with the Royal Canadian Navy. John's passion was creating stained glass artistry and was a member of the collectors guild. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 68 years Catherine; three sons Michael (Rina) of Brampton, ON., Craig of Kingston, On. and Scott of Moncton; grandchildren Shawn, Shannon ans Isabella; great grandchildren Tanner and Teagen; his brother Fred Whitenect of Moncton; as well as nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Margaret Webb. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 8th, at 1:00pm until time of service which will take place at 2:00pm. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Donations in John's memory made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to sincerely thank the entire staff at Monarch Hall for their loving care over the years.
