Obituary of Michael "Mike" G. Messenger

Michael "Mike" G. Messenger, 69 years, of Riverview; passed away at his residence, on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. Born in Yarmouth, NS he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary Messenger. Mike retired after 15 years as owner operator of Mike and Eva's Special Services Cleaning Business with 21 years prior service working for Holloway Auto. Mike was a member of St. Augustines Roman Catholic Church. He was a 4th Degree member of St. Augustine Council #7940 of the Knights of Columbus. Mike enjoyed volunteering his time working in the Ray of Hope Kitchen at the church. He is survived by his wife Eva (Bower); daughter Colleen Messenger; sisters Joanne Mutton and Celena Robinson (Ricky); brothers Ralph (Nicole), Patrick (Joanne), Ted (Doreen) , Billy (Karen), and Ansel (Una); grandchildren Austin Hicks-Messenger and Desiree Messenger-Hessel. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Basil. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 2:00pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating.
