Obituary of Patrick James Murphy
Patrick James Murphy, of Moncton, NB; passed away peacefully with family at his side at the Dr. Georges Dumont University Hospital, on Friday December 4, 2015 at the age of 76 years. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Patrick J. and Lorraine C. (Ramsay) Murphy. Patrick retired after many years working as a Chartered Accountant and later years working in Real Estate. Patrick was known for his charisma, quick wit and sharp mind. He was an avid athlete and a passionate story teller, keeping his friends and family on their toes and coming back for more. He is survived by his daughters Johanna (Chris) Beneteau of Windsor, ON; and Ashleigh Murphy of Vancouver BC; sons Steve Murphy (Kerri Loudoun) of London, ON, and Andrew Murphy (Sharifa Samuels) of Vancouver, BC; sister Suzanne McCabe (Kirk Vye) of Moncton, NB; brother Terrance M. Murphy (Valerie) of Mississauga, ON; grandchildren Cameron and Nicholas Beneteau of Windsor, ON; first wife Anne (nee Murphy) Waite of London, ON; second wife Jacquie Murphy of Vancouver, BC. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Monday, December 7, 2015 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 1:30pm with Fr. Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in Patrick's memory made to your local Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all the Doctors and Nursing Staff at the Dr. Georges Dumont University Hospital.
