Obituary of Arnold Jonah

Arnold Jonah, 81, of Riverview, NB; passed away peacefully at The Moncton City Hospital, on Friday, September 28, 2012. Born in Dawson Settlement, he was the son of the late Isaiah and Minnie (Newcomb) Jonah. Arnold worked as a cargo handler for Air Canada for over 40 years. He was an avid hunter. He loved his hunting and camping trips with his good friend Bob Wells. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, and loved his many scooter rides around Riverview with his brother-in-law Garnet Steeves. Arnold will be sadly missed by his wife of 36 years, Audrey (Steeves); his stepchildren Terry Carter (Noreen) of Alberta, Kinda McMullen (Al) of Lower Coverdale, Dawn LeBlanc (Charlie) of Moncton, Gail Steeves (Paul) and Cindy Carter, both of Riverview; his 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his brother Harold (Wanda) of Hillsborough; and his sister Eleanor Steeves of Saskatchewan. Besides his parents, Arnold is predeceased by his brother Clyde. Keeping with Arnold's wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The memorial service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012 at 2:00 pm. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the 3500 block at The Moncton City Hospital for the special care they provided for Arnold. Donations in Arnold's memory made to the Diabetic Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
