Obituary of Jacqueline "Jackie" Lillian Newhook

Jackie Newhook, 78, of Riverview and formerly of Fredericton, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital with her loving family at her side on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. She was born in Fredericton, NB and she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Hayward. Jackie was formerly employed with UNB Fredericton. She was active in her community and was a longtime member of the Riverview Lioness Club. A loving, kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 57 years Ernie, her children Elizabeth Ann Newhook and Richard Newhook (Michelle) all of Riverview; by her eight grandchildren; brothers George (Ardean) and Donald (Ruby), as well as her nieces and nephews. Honoring Jackie's wishes a graveside service will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:00am with Rev. Jonathan Gorham officiating. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the Riverview Lions Club, 701 Coverdale Rd. Riverview, NB on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Donations in Jackie's memory made to the Riverview Baptist Church Memorial Fund or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
