Obituary of Jacqueline Gloria deVarennes
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Aunt Jacqueline deVarennes on November 17, 2016. Jackie was born March 1929 in Dorchester, NB. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Jennie (Leblanc) deVarennes. Having lived her life in Moncton, Jackie was a devout Catholic and member of St. Augustine's Church. Jackie was a faithful member of the CWL, an active participant of the weekly prayer group and sang in the choir. She devoted tireless hours volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul Society. These activities brought her great joy and were a focal part of her daily life. Jackie is survived by her sister-in-law, Norma deVarennes, Ontario, her Cape Breton girls, many nieces and nephews and extended family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Len, Laurie, and Joe; sisters Carmel and Marjorie (Putty). The family would like to thank the staff of the former Kinsmen House as well as Spencer's Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Jackie over the years. Visitation for Miss deVarennes will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB. The funeral mass and celebration of her life will take place on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10 am at St. Augustine's Church, corner of Mountain Rd and Dominion Streets Moncton with Father Carroll officiating.
