Obituary of David Cecil Jones

David Cecil Jones of Morell, PEI, beloved husband of Jill Ann Orr Jones, passed away on Thursday, October 26th, 2017 due to an accident. Born on June 8, 1969 in Moncton, NB he was the eldest son of Cecil and Diane Jones. David was retired from the Canadian Armed Forces, having served twenty years with the PPCLI (1st Battalion) and the Construction Engineers. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, visiting with his friends, his hobby farm, hunting, camping, coaching youth basketball and volunteering in his community. He is loved and forever missed by his wife Jill; son Pte. Alexander Jones of Petawawa,ON ; daughters Chloe and Sarah at home; parents Cecil and Diane Jones of Riverview, NB; brothers Paul (Kim) of Lower Coverdale and Peter (Susan) of Lewis Mountain; father-in-law Eugene Orr (Janet) of Moncton, NB; mother-in-law Patricia Winans of Riverview, NB; nephews Evan, Spencer, Ryan and Caleb and niece Sophia and the many members of his and Jill’s extended family. Funeral will be held at the Dundas Baptist Church, 3361 Route 490, Dundas, NB E1G 3R5 on Monday, October 30th, 2017 at 11:00 am with a reception to follow in the church fellowship hall. There will be no visitation at David’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations to a fund for his children or the Dundas Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated by his family.
