Obituary of Alcide Babineau

Alcide Babineau, 88, of Moncton, NB; passed away at Villa du Repos, Murphy Ave. Moncton, on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Born in Notre Dame, NB, he was the son of the late Edmond and Eugenie (Cormier) Babineau. Alcide retired from Atlantic Engine Rebuilders after 38 years service. He was a member of Paroisse Cathedral N.D. L'Assomption. He will be sadly missed by his six sons Clarence (Lorraine), Leo-Paul (Anita), George, Gilles, Maurice all of Moncton and Daniel "Danny" (Martha) of Notre Dame; his two daughters Jeannine (J.P.) of Harcourt and Linda (Gilles) of Notre Dame; his adoring nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three brothers Gerard (Helene), Herve (Marie) both of Moncton and Yvon of Dieppe; three sisters Anita (the late Clovis) Cormier of Moncton, Leona Richard (Aime) of Dieppe and Cecile Ward of Miscou; two sisters-in-law Annette (the late Oscar) of Dieppe and Nora (the late Aurele) of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Therese (Boucher) in 1997, by four brothers Leo, Ernest, Aurele and Oscar and two sisters Therese and Florine. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton with visitation on Friday, February 1, 2013, from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral mass will be held at Cathedrale N-D L'Assomption, on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 am with Fr. J.G. Dallaire officiating. Interment will be in Notre Dame Union Cemetery, Notre Dame, NB in the spring. Donations in Alcide's memory made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
