Obituary of Elsie Alice Leaman

Elsie Alice Leaman, 99, of Tantallon, NS and formerly of Moncton; was welcomed into heaven from her daughter’s residence in Tantallon on Saturday, June 30, 2018. Born September 30, 1918 in New Cross, London, England, she was the daughter of the late Herbert & Alice (Martin) Chappell. A homemaker who loved life and her family, she will be deeply missed by her daughter Susan (David) Boutilier; sons Brian Leaman of Moncton and Michael (Joyce) Leaman of Bedford, NS; her grandchildren Rian (Bradley); Angela (Julian) Lum; Sancia (Bryan) Knorr; great-grandchildren Lilli & Brayden Knorr; Ethen & Edwin Lum; and also by lots of special nieces and nephews. Elsie is the last surviving member of her immediate family Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Leonard Leaman; grandson Andrew and by her brothers Herbert, Leslie, Frank & George Chappell of England; also a sister in infancy, Iris. Also by Gerald Herman. Honouring Elsie's wishes there is no viewing, cremation has taken place. The Celebration of Life will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB on Friday, August 24th , at 11:30 am with Heather Star Williams officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens Moncton, NB There will also be a Celebration of Life at St. Luke’s United Church, 5374 St. Margaret’s Bay Road, Upper Tantallon on Friday, July 13th @ 2 pm. Donations in Elsie’s Memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Luke’s United Church would be appreciated by the family.
