Obituary of Lucien "Lou" Demers

Lucien "Lou" Demers, 87 , of Dieppe, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Monday, May 27, 2019. Born in Leduc, AB; he was the son of the late Killiam and Corinne (Blackburn) Demers. He was a member of St. Bernards Parish, a member of the K of C #1310, as well as a member of the B O P Elks Lodge Moncton #229 and Fredericton #274. Lou was a former Real Estate Agent and a former member of town planning for the City of Moncton, along with a career in the agriculture field and a supporting member of Crime Stoppers. He was survived by his children Doris (David), Roger, Elaine, Corinne and Karen (Dale); grandchildren Kelsey (Michael), Cheyna (Terry), Ryan, Chad, Tyler, Cory (Heather) and Kelly. Step grand-children Nieva and Sebastian. Great grand children Marley, Kendra and Alexis. Step great grand-children Brycen and Ainsley: His loving partner Lorraine Surette; step daughter Charline (Daniel); step grandchildren Ashley and Rémi, brother in laws Gary Surette (Glenda) and Wilfred "Pitou" Surette (Paulette); brother Maurice (the Late Leona Demers) of Edmonton, AB; sister Juliette Juneau of Edmonton, AB; by nieces, nephews and by special friends Gilles (Denise) Mondoux and Ronald (Denise) Bourgeois. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Marie Demers, siblings Harvey Demers, Leger (Annette) Demers, Marcel (Rhea) Demers and Laurette Morgan; sister-in-law Leona Demers; nephew Leo Demers. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 11am to 1pm The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Chapel on Tuesday June 4, 2019 at 1:00pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Cemetery, Fredericton. Donations in "Lou's" memory made to the Karing Kitchen, Ray of Hope or to a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
