Obituary of Carol Ann Colpitts

Carol Ann Colpitts, age 49 years of Colpitts Settlement, passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends after a long illness, at the Victoria General Hospital, Surgical Intensive Care Unit in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Saturday, December 23, 2006. Born in PEI on July 8, 1958 to Jean (Dalton) and the late Thomas Stewart. Carol was employed as a pastry chef and was a member of the NB Liver Foundation, and was a trail guide for the province of Alberta. She is survived by her husband Robert Colpitts presently of Alberta; son Ryan Stewart of Moncton; sisters Patricia Read of Moncton, Becky MacIsaac (Ray) of Amherst NS, Judie Stewart of Moncton, Betty Lou Remington (Terry) of Moncton; precious grandson Sam Stewart; brother in law Gary Read of Moncton; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Thomas in February of 1993. At Carol Ann's request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Father. Phil Mulligan officiating. In memory of Carol Ann donations made to the Organ Donation Society would be appreciated by her family. The family would like to send special thanks the Dr. Walsh and all the many wonderful loving nurses and staff who did everything in their power to save Carol Ann for us and treated her with such love and respect always.
