Obituary of Clara Hachey

Clara E. Hachey, of Berry Mills, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the age of 83 years. Born in Shediac, NB on August 15, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (McPhee) Vautour. In earlier years Clara worked for the Catholic Childrens Aid Society in Toronto, ON, and in later years she with her husband owned and operated the Restwell Motel and the Berry Mills Special Care Home. Clara enjoyed Jigsaw Puzzles, reading and above all she enjoyed her family. A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt, she will be sadly missed by her husband Edmond Hachey; daughters Nancy and Steve Payne of Whitby, ON, Noreen Hachey of Riverview, Susan Hachey of Berry Mills, Sandra Hachey of Moncton; son Wayne and Shelley Hachey of Salisbury; sisters Mary Cumberland of Calgary AB, Lorraine Melanson of Moncton, Geneva Brodie of Niagara Falls, ON; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Alphonse McPhee, George Vautour, Abraham Vautour, and Camille Vautour. The funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 4:00 pm with Father Bourgeois officiating. There will be a reception to follow the mass at the Club D'age D'or. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.
