Obituary of Cyril Samuel "Sam" Spear

I always said "I Love You", You said "I Love You More", But Sam I Loved you the most..... You were the bravest and kindest boy I knew. I'll truly miss you, you'll be in my thoughts and heart forever. All your family and friends will miss you very much. I love you Sam, your mum forever. Sam entered into eternal rest at the IWK Children's Health Care Center in Halifax, NS on Wednesday evening March 21st, 2007, at the tender age of 14 years. He was a grade 8 student at Riverview Middle School. He loved spending time with all his friends and loved his teachers who adored him very much. Sam was a very active teenager and loved swimming and attending the Special Olympics. True passions of his were singing, reading books, music, and long walks with his mum. Left with fond and loving memories are his mum Liz Spear, father Bernie Mantay, maternal grandparents Mimi McLean Spear and the late Cyril Spear, paternal grandparents Rudy and Emilie Mantay. Sam had a large loving extended family. Visitation will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home on Sunday March 25, 2007 from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home on Monday March 26, 2007 at 3:00pm with Rev. Jonathan Gorham officiating. There will be a reception to follow. Sam will be laid to rest at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations made to The Autism Society or to The NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
