Obituary of Carson "Red" Thomas Crawford

Carson "Red" Thomas Crawford, 85, of Riverview, NB and formerly of Saint John, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, November 1, 2009. Born November 10, 1923 in Minto, NB; he was the son of the late Thomas P. and Lois A. (McKenlley) Crawford. He had been employed and later retired from Atlantic Wholesalers as Commercial Account Manager. Red was an avid fly fisherman and gardener, he also followed his mother's love of baking. He was a veteran of WW.II serving with the RCAF. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Edythe F. Crawford, daughter Carolyn J. Crawford of Hammonds Plains, NS; son Dr. Tom Crawford (Debra Graves) of Sydney, NS; grandchildren Sarah Crawford and Caitlin Crawford; as well as nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Howard Crawford and a sister Leona Crawford. A Veterans Service conducted by the Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 6 will be held the Funeral Home Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 10:45 am. A Celebration of Life will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John, NB following the service.
