Obituary of Charlotte Louise Madsen

Charlotte Louise Madsen, age 89 years of ProTem Nursing Home in Moncton and formerly of Fredericton, passed away at her residence on Sunday, May 16, 2010. Born in Saint John, NB on December 8th, 1920; she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Florence (Bowman) MacDonald. Charlotte was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Devon Chapter in Fredericton and enjoyed tending to her gardens, singing to music, knitting, and especially her needle point. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years Leonard Madsen of Fredericton; sons Kris (Germaine) Madsen of Moncton and John (Bonita) Madsen of Riverview; grandchildren Leonard, Alex, Kerrie, Patrick, Chandra, and Erin; also by nine great grandchildren. Charlotte was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Predeceased by her brother Donald MacDonald; sisters Margaret Fairweather, Lois Holly and Kay Hutt. A family graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Fredericton on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Joyce Perry officiating. In memory of Charlotte, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated by her family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
