Obituary of Charles T. Rand
Charles T. Rand, 93 years, of Moncton, passed away at The Veterans Health Care Centre, on Sunday, July 27, 2014.
Born in Fairfield AL, USA on November 6, 1920 he was the son of the late Charles and Ivy (Von) Rand. He was a Veteran of WWII. Following the war he worked for several years as a Pilot travelling between Moncton and Montreal for EPA Commercial Airline. In later years Charles was the office manager for Parsons Construction and enjoyed living on the hobby farm and tending to his master vegetable garden.
He is survived by daughters Darlene Rand (Darrell) of Riverview, Sheila Finnerty of BC, Cheryl Rand of Moncton; sons Bruce (Pierrette) of Saint John,NB Alan of Fort McMurray, AB, and Danny of Red Deer, AB; sister in law Helen Rand of Pictou, NS; grandchildren Jason, David, Christine, Shawn, Dave, Lisa, Mandy, Marla, Holly, Jordan, Cody and Charles.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Marjorie (Budd); son Lance; and brother John.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday July 30, 2014 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm.
The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:00am with Rev. Paul Steeves officiating.
Interment will be in Gladeside Cemetery. Donations in Charles's memory made to the Veterans Health Center in recognition of the wonderful care that was given to Charles over the past 4 years would be appreciated by his family.
