Obituary of Colleen M. Girouard

Colleen Girouard, 78, of Moncton, NB; passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges Dumont University Hospital, on Friday, March 4, 2016. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Colin and Elodie (LeBlanc) Chisholm. She was a member of Paroisse Christ-Roi Moncton. Colleen loved her little piece of heaven in Caissie Cape from her daily swims in the Northumberland to the harvest of her vegetable garden. It was here that she enjoyed life and laughter, something she shared with her family. Colleen was very proud of her husband, her children and especially her grandchildren. She was always there in the audience at concerts or music festivals or in the crowd at the rink for ringette and hockey. She was loving and caring and sometimes outspoken, but you always knew where you stood with her. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 56 years Arthur J. Girouard, her daughters Louise Bell (Rick) of Moncton and Monique Girouard (Michel Babineau) of Dieppe, her adoring grandchildren Mariève and Miguel; two sisters Jeannette Touchie (Boyd) and Carol LeBlanc (the late Roger) of Dieppe; as well her niece and nephews. The Funeral mass will be held at Paroisse Christ-Roi, Dominion St. Moncton, NB on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 10:00am with Fr. Graham Touchie officiating. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the Club D’Age D’Or Christ-Roi immediately following the funeral mass. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
