Obituary of Clara J. Close
Clara J. Close, 92 , of Peoples Park Tower Moncton and formerly of Riverview, passed away at her residence on Sunday, March 19, 2017. Born in St. Margarets, NB she was the daughter of the late James and Alma (Vautour) Cook. She was retired from Mail Order Dept. with T. Eaton. Co after 32 years service. Clara was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Riverview and she was also a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Ladies Society. Clara enjoyed listening to country music, reading a good book and watching curling on TV. However her greatest love was spending time with family and her family meant everything to her. She is survived by her husband Allison "Al" L Close; her brother James Cook of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her 1st husband Boyd Steeves, two brothers Raymond and Frank Cook and by five sisters Helen, Gertrude, Theresa Cook, Mary Marino and Alice Chaisson. Resting at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview with visitation on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. Parish Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening, March 23 at 8:30pm. The Funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 5 Fatima Rd. Riverview, Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00am. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Clara's memory made to a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by her family.
