Obituary of Claude "Mouse" MacDonald
Claude "Mouse" MacDonald, 65, of Riverview, New Brunswick passed away at his home on October 16, 2017 with his family by his side.
He will be forever remembered by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Ruth. His daughters and their families, Jennifer and George Brown and their children, Sam and Graeme of Riverview; Stephanie and Phil Henry and their children, Jacob, Ella and Preston, of Bangor Maine; Tarah and Max Gauvin and their children, Gabrielle and Sophia of Fredericton.
He is also survived by his siblings Maralyn Donelle, Cynthia Kingston (Clarke), Darrell (Brenda) and Sylvia Wong (Ken), his loving mother-in-law Phyllis Bettle of Quispamsis, his brother-in-law, Ken Bettle (Cathy) and sister-in-law Cindy Flood (Tim) and his aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Vera and Raymond MacDonald of Bay-Du-Vin, his brother Raymond of Vancouver and his father-in-law, Kenneth R. Bettle of Quispamsis.
Claude’s professional career was with the Federal Government initially with Transport Canada and retired as a Project Manager with Public Works Canada. He was valued and respected in his field completing many innovative projects in the Atlantic Canada region. Upon retiring he continued his career with his consulting firm, Celtic Consulting Management, INC.
Claude was a talented athlete and participated in various sports some of his favorites being hockey, golf and soccer. He enjoyed being a member of the Moncton Elks Club and their hockey team, the Moncton Golf & Country Club and the Nummies. He had a passion for coaching his 3 daughters in soccer and ringette and was instrumental in the development of the largest Ringette tournament east of Montreal.
Words cannot express the love he had for his many many friends of all ages! One of his friends recently shared….Claude (Mouse) is one of those "special ones" that only a few of us get to meet and know, he found a special place in many peoples hearts.
Above all else, was Claude's love and pride for his family.
He was so proud when he became Grampy, he thoroughly enjoyed and loved each one of his grandchildren!
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from the hours of 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
Donations in Claude's memory made to Moncton Golf & Country Club Jr. Golf Program or to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Canada would be appreciated.
