Obituary of Collin John Lewis
It is with deep sadness to announce the sudden passing of Collin John Lewis of Riverview, on April 14th at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Collin was born in Canterbury, NB on March 5, 1937. He can only be described as a good man He was everyone's go to guy for anything and everything. Collin retired from the CN in 1993 with 36 years’ service and often spoke fondly of his career as an electrician at the "Shops" and his many friends from work.
In past years he enjoyed traveling with his loving wife Annabel, often accompanied with his brother Joe and his wife Donna. He also enjoyed "hunting" trips with family, usually not even bothering to load a gun. Nothing was more important to him than family, always making sure he could assist in any manner possible. He loved his garden, likely the biggest and most well tended in Riverview. Collin was an avid runner well into his 50's and later took up cycling which he enjoyed right to his last day.
Collin is survived by his greatest love, Annabel, his wife of 59 years. Also left to mourn are his sons John (Debbi), Joseph, James and Jason. Grandchildren, Melissa, Matt, Nancy, Rachel, Kaitlin, Michael, Melanie, Darcie, Myles, Samuel, Fern and Sunny and by four great grandchildren. He will also be deeply missed by his brother Joe (Donna), his many friends, especially Carl VanIderstine.
He was predeceased by his parents George and Pearl (Dow) Lewis, his sister Maye.
