Obituary of Adelard "Dada" Melanson

Adelard "Dada" Melanson, of Saint Antoine, NB passed away at Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital, on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Born in Scoudouc on June 28th, 1924 he was the son of the late Adelard and Bertha (Perry) Melanson. Dada Melanson enjoyed softball and was entered in the NB softball hall of fame in 1996. Survived by his loving wife Lucille (Arsenault) of 62 years; two sons Mark (Anne) Melanson of Riverview, Daniel (Maureen) Melanson of Saint Antoine; one daughter Debbie (David) Sutherland of Saint Antoine; fourteen grandchildren, Robert, Natalie, Amanda, Jean-Marc, Jacques, Joseé, Rebekah, Roman, Christian, Caroline, Xavier, Melanie Rachel and Maddie; three great grandchildren Tommy James, Kaitlyn and Olivier. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters Loretta, Marion and Lina; brothers Gerald (Potate) and Art. By personal request there will be no visitation or funeral service held at the funeral home, a private family service will be held at a later date.
