Obituary of Edward "Bud" Joseph McGuire

Edward "Bud" J. McGuire of Riverview,NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, January 15, 2007 at the age of 83 years. Born in Saint John, NB on July 10, 1923 he was the son of the late Hugh and Theresa (Cusack) McGuire. He was a senior officer for the Canadian National Railways for over 43 years. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church. Edward enjoyed the two terms he served with the town council of Dalhousie, NB. Left with fond memories are his daughter Gayle Tremblay of Beijing, China; sons Glen McGuire of Fredericton, NB, Hugh (Susan) McGuire of Riverview,NB and Michael McGuire of Peterborough, ON; sisters Carmela Wilson of Bridgewater, NS, and Francis Crease of Pickering ON; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Joyce (Goodwin) McGuire in 1991; sister Constance Gilmore; brothers Hugh McGuire and Harold McGuire. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Friday January 19, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:00pm & 7:00 - 9:00pm. There will be parish prayers and sharing of memories of Bud on Friday evening at 8:30pm. The funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 10:00 am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment will be in Alderwood Cemetery. In Bud's memory, donations may be made to The ALS Society, or to The Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Building Fund.
