Obituary of Violet Beatrice Mullins

Violet B. Mullins, 86, of Kenneth E. Spencer Home and formerly of McLaughlin Dr. Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, March 9, 2007. Born in Cherryfield, NB, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary V. (Landry) Surrette. She was employed with the Moncton Hospital and retired after 27 years service. Violet enjoyed going for long drives and gardening. However her greatest love was her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, she will be sadly missed by her three daughters Sheila Gauvin (Joe) of Moncton, Linda Peters of British Columbia and Nancy Doud of Moncton; one son Gary Mullins (Susan Phinney) of Fredericton; six grandchildren Michelle (Eric Falkjar), Boyd, Cindy (James Boyle), David, Timothy and Matthew; three great grandchildren Kristian Ronald, Kayla and Dawson; also by numerous nieces and nephews. Violet was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald Mullins in 1990, her son Roger P. Mullins in 1978 and by her son-in-law Brian Doud in 1988. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, Lutz St. Moncton with visitation on Sunday, March 11, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 3:00 pm with Fr. B. Sloan officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
