Obituary of Kenneth Albert Smith
Smith, Kenneth Albert, of Royal Court, Riverview, died June 13, 2007 at The Moncton Hospital.
Born in Elgin, NB, he was the son of the late George William Smith and Lulu MacKenzie and husband of the late Hazel Alberta Smith, nee Agnew.
He is survived by his daughter Myrna Craswell (Barry) of York, PEI; sons Kenneth Alan Smith (Leigh) of Sussex Corner and James Leslie Smith of Riverview; sister Carol Bartol (John) of Windsor, NS; four brothers Edwin
(Agnes) of Moncton,NB Walter (Alice) of West Vancouver, NB, Harold (Winnie) of Riverside Albert, NB, and Winston (Eileen) of Ottawa, ON; five grandchildren Kalin (Joel), Kristopher (Dhian), Sherri (Dan), Darlene (Brian), and Kendra (Troy) and eight great grandchildren Victoria and Julianna; Kirstin; Robert, Courtney and Billy; Tyler and Megan.
He was predeceased by three sisters Edna Smith, Dorothy Tingley and Mary Hughes and two brothers George and Robert.
He was a member of Whitepine Baptist Church in Riverview. A veteran of World War II he served overseas with the Royal Canadian Army Engineer Artillery.
He was employed by the Canadian National Railroad as an engineer, following his retirement he enjoyed many trips with his siblings and their spouses.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the CNIB or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Viewing and visitation will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home on Friday June 15, 2007 from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 will be holding a prayer service friday afternoon at the funeral home at 3:45pm.
The funeral service will be held from The Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday June 16, 2007 at 3:30pm with Rev. Frank Trail and Rev. John Bartol officiating.
