Obituary of Isobel Hazen Johnston

Isobel H. Johnston, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at ProTem Health Services Residence in Moncton on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Born in Amherst, NS on December 7, 1919; she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Laura Beatrice Chapman. Isobel was a former secretary with Atlantic Wholesalers retiring in 1975. She is a member of St. Georges Anglican Church, Moncton, NB. A loving and caring Mother, Nan and Sister she will be sadly missed by her daughter Donna Jean and her husband Douglas Lawrence of Moncton; her loving grandchildren Laurie Allen (Brent Hamilton) and Tracy Lawrence (Robb Smith) all of Moncton; her adoring great grandchildren Brittany Lawrence, Ashley Allen, Austin Allen and Reegan Lawrence-Smith; one brother Robert Chapman of Amherst, NS; also by nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Charles Johnston in 1996; and by two brothers Donald and Douglas Chapman. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 12:30pm until the time of the funeral. The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 1:30pm with the Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. Interment will be in Dorchester Rural Cemetery in the spring. Donations in Isobel's memory made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer’s Society of Southeast NB would be appreciated by her family.
