Obituary of Robert Lawrence "Larry" Bauer

Robert Lawrence "Larry" Bauer, of Moncton, passed away at his residence with his beloved wife Dorothy by his side on Tuesday, December 11, 2007. Born in Moncton, NB he was the son of the late Clarence A. and Josephine (Diotte) Bauer. He was a member of St. Augustines Roman Catholic Church and a member of the senior club within the church; a memer of The Moncton Lions Seniors Club; a proud 65 year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Br#6. Larry served in WWII in the Carleton York Regiment. He retired from Canada Post in 1979 after serving many years as a postal clerk. Left with fond memories are his wife Dorothy (Harper) Bauer; son Lawrence Paul Bauer of Vancouver, BC; sister Ernastine Vaughan of Halifax, NS; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Glendine MacLeod, Isabelle Hartnett, and Gladys Matheson; also by brothers Clarence, Charles and Fred. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Thursday, December 13, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:00pm & 7:00 - 9:00pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Br#6 will be holding a prayer service at the funeral home Thursday afternoon at 3:45pm. Parish prayers will be held at the funeral home at 8:30 Thursday evening. The funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 11:00 am celebrated by Father Yvon Arsenault and concelebrated by Father Bernard Sloan. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery in the spring. In Larry's memory, donations to The NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or to The Canadian Diabetic Association would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
