Obituary of Alice B. Stack

Alice B. Stack, of Riverview, NB; passed away at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home, on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the age of 93 years. Born in Melrose, NB she was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Winnifred (Helm) Murphy. Alice was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, and formerly attended St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church in Melrose, NB. She was a member of the St. Bartholomew C.W.L; a member of the Coverdale Senior Citizens Association in Riverview. She is survived by her daughters Veronica (Patrick) Rivers-Bowerman of Kingston Peninsula, NB, Josephine (Russell) Scott of Amherst, NS, Laura Stack of Riverview,NB, Mary (Warren) Rayworth of Riverveiw, NB, Helen (Leslie) Fillmore of Oromocto, NB, Catherine (Douglas) Humber of Cold Lake, Alberta; sons Edward (Karen) Stack of Riverview, NB, and Francis (Nancy) Stack of Bathurst, NB; sister Rita (Antonia) Pomerleau of Burlington, Vermont USA; 24 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Joseph J. Stack 1977; infant son John Hebert 1945 ;son Gerard 1990; grandson Richard Scott 2009; sisters Frances, Stella, Laura, Anne, Gertrude, Mary and her brother Vincent. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A vigil service and sharing of memories will be held at the funeral home Sunday evening at 6:30pm. A funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 10:00am with Fr. Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment will be in St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Melrose, NB. Donations in Alice's memory made to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
