Obituary of Robert "Bob" Campbell

Robert "Bob" Campbell, 88, of Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, April 28, 2008. Born in Curry, Scotland, on March 5, 1920. He was the son of the late Robert and Jean (Donaldson) Campbell. He was retired from Swift Canada with 28 years service and also retired from Riverview High School in 1982. He was a charter member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church in Riverview and a life member of the Church Men's Club. Robert was a veteran of WW. II served overseas for five years with the Canadian Forester Corp. He was also a member of the Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association. He is survived by his daughter Sonja and her husband Robert "Bob" Harvey of Riverview and formerly of Fredericton; his son George R. L. Campbell and his wife Louise of Ottawa, ON; three sisters Betty Foster (Fred) and Peggy MacKenzie all of Maugerville, NB; and Helen Loney (Harold) of Kentville, NS; two brothers George Campbell and Jack Campbell (Betty) all of Fredericton, NB; five grandchildren Graeme, Ian, Natalie, Julie and Patrick also by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Maria B. (Anderson) Campbell; an infant son David; sisters Isabel, Mary Hayward, Jean Wilbur and Janet Thibodeau; and by a brother Jim Campbell. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Charles Cook officiating. The Riverview Veterans will be conducting Veterans service May 1st Thursday evening at 6:45pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
