Obituary of Roy B. Sheppard

Roy B. Sheppard Jr., 56, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital surrounded by his family on Thursday, November 06, 2008. Born in Moncton, he is the son of Theresa "Terry" (Jorgensen) Sheppard and the late Roy B. Sheppard Sr. Roy was a true friend to all and will be remembered as a lifelong advocate for humanitarian causes and many charitable organizations. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his children Tricia McGraw (Mike) and his grandson Riley all of Fredericton, Christina of Halifax and Cory Sheppard of Moncton; Roy's mother Terry Sheppard of Moncton, his sisters Sandy of Moncton, Patty Fraser (Stewart) of Allison, Starr Fraser (Doug) of Moncton; his brother Brent Sheppard (Linda) of Allison, an aunt Joan Fischer of New Jersey; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Roy was predeceased by his very special friend Brenda Casey. A Celebration of Life and Sharing of Memories will be held at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB on Monday, November 10, 2008 from 6:30 pm to 8:30pm. Donations in Roy's memory made to Autism NB, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
