Obituary of J. Robert Green

Robert Green, 84, of Moncton, and formerly of Riverview, passed away at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on Sunday, February 15, 2009. Born in Saint John, NB on July 5, 1924. Robert was employed with CNR was Signal Supervisor, he retired with 38 years service. He was a veteran of WW II and served in the North and South Atlantic with RCNVR from 1942 to 1945. He was the recipient of the Atlantic Star for his time served. Bob was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch # 6. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Marie Green, one daughter Lori Goguen (Robert) of Moncton; three sons Richard Green of Moncton, Robert Green of Saskatchewan and David Green (Vickie) of Moncton; six grandchildren Sarah, Michelle, Danielle, Charlotte, Devon and Jordan; one sister Janet MacAleese (Rod) of Moncton as well as nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Murdoch Green and a sister Evelyn Bell. A memorial service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Richard Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations made to Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
