Obituary of Lynn Elizabeth Renton

Lynn Elizabeth Renton, 44, of Riverview and formerly of Mississauga, Ontario, passed away peacefully May 27th, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Lynn is survived by her parents, (George) Allison and Rita Renton; brother Dale (Kandi Horsman); sister Catherine Nelson (Aaron); special nieces Alison and Caroline and nephew Alexander whom she loved dearly. Lynn was a graduate of Riverview High School and the 1986 class of The A.J. MacMaster School of Nursing. After a brief time at the Moncton Hospital she moved to Mississauga, employed as an oncology nurse at the General Hospital and later the Trillium Health Centre. She worked in the Trillium cardiac department when her illness interrupted her nursing career. Lynn’s dedication and compassion for people moved her to go the extra mile for her patients. Lynn loved to travel and spend time with family and her many friends. Her love of nature led to many walks in the outdoors with her dog Kelsey and most recently Callie. When home she especially liked camping and hiking in Fundy National Park. Lynn’s enthusiasm for life and her ever present smile encouraged everyone she met. Her can do attitude and positive outlook on life was an inspiration to those who supported her during her illness. The Funeral will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home on Monday, June 1st, at 2:00 pm with Pastors Jack Allen and David Britton officiating. A reception will follow. Interment in The Grey’s Island Cemetery, Hillsborough.
