Obituary of Colombe M. Baiani

Colombe M. Baiani of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Born in Leger Corner, NB on May 31, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Thadee and Mary (Bourgeois) Gauvin. Colombe was an employee of The United Book Store in Moncton for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Bernards Roman Catholic Church. Colombe was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan. She will be remembered for having a "big heart" and great sense of humor. She is survived by her daughter Linda Agnew-Dixon (Alan) of Upper Cape; son Donald Jr. (Jeanette) of Dieppe; sisters Aurore Chase (Emery) of Dieppe, NB, Violet Murphy of Lynn Mass, Irene Melanson (Jacques) of Hammond ON; brother Gilbert Gauvin (Agnes) of Dieppe; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Donald D. Baiani in 2003; sons Edward and Michael; grandson Phillip; sisters Aurelli and Loretta; also by brothers Emile and Gerald. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Thursday August 27, 2009 from 2:00 - 4:00pm & 7:00 - 9:00pm. At Colombe's request we will close the evening at 9:00pm with a special hymn "Beyond the Sunset" At her request there will be no funeral service.
