Obituary of Benjamin Edward Chapman

Bennie Edward Chapman passed away peacefully at the Drew Nursing Home on Thursday, January 28th, 2010 with his loving family by his side. Born in The Glades on November 20th, 1927; he was the son of the late William and Rose Chapman. He was a retired employee of Codiac Transit Moncton. He is survived by his daughter Cindy Chapman, Riverview with whom he previously resided; sons Danny (Judy) Chapman, Donald (Jeannine) Chapman both of Moncton, Douglas (Bonnie) Chapman, Tim (Cathy) Chapman both of Riverview; sister Vera (late Jr) Prosser of Riverview; brother Kenneth (Joan) Chapman of Ontario. Grampie to grandchildren Angela, Pamela, Danny Jo, Jeffrey, Shawnda, Christopher, Tanya, Julie, Sandy, Jason, Justin and their families. Ben always looked forward to having visits from his great grandchildren. Visitors were always welcome by Ben, family members including the many nieces and nephews, previous co-workers, many friends who shared many of Ben's interesting stories. Besides his parents, Ben was predeceased by his wife Doreen (Mullins) Chapman, son David Chapman, sisters Marion, Georgie and Jen. Visitation will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview, on Sunday, January 31st, 2010 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held from the Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 1st, 2010 at 11am with Pastor Tony Blair officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice, or to the Drew Nursing Home, who provided Ben with such loving care, for the last year.
