Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty" M. Woodhouse
Elizabeth "Betty" M. Woodhouse; age 95, of Camden Crescent and formerly of Shediac Rd. Moncton, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Sunday, April 24, 2011. Born in Moncton, NB on March 5, 1916; she was the daughter of the late Alfred A. and Mary (Paton) Woodhouse. Betty was a retired secretary of the T. Eaton Co. with 45 years’ service.
She was a active member of St. George's Anglican Church in Moncton, NB; having served as Vestry Clerk for 27 years and a member of the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Quarter of a Century Club of the T. Eaton Co. Betty will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews: Jack Woodhouse of Milton, ON; Margaret Carfra of Fredericton, NB; Ian Woodhouse of Charlottetown, PEI; James Woodhouse of Montreal, QC; Maureen Woodhouse of Halifax, NS; and Geoffrey Woodhouse of Whitehorse, YK and by her sister-in-law, Wilma Woodhouse of Fredericton, NB.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers Alexander of Moncton; George of Owen Sound, ON; and John Woodhouse of Halifax, NS. At Betty's request there is no viewing at the Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church corner of Church and Queen Streets, Moncton on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 2:00pm. with The Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating.
Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton, NB at a later date.
