Obituary of Walter Robert Lane

Walter Robert Lane, 56 years of Moncton and formerly of St. John's NL passed peacefully at home on December 14, 2012 after a courageous battle with Cancer. Walter was born and raised in St. John's NL, and was an avid baseball player. He also enjoyed cadets, bowling and most importantly his family. He worked at Newfoundland Farm Products for 22 years, and more recently at Acadia Fire and Water Restoration for 15 years, where he was known as "the Newfie". Walter is predeceased by his brother John; mother Helen (Baggs); and mother in law Isabel (Bussey). He is survived by the love of his life Florence; daughters Leslie (Steve), and Krista (Cyndi); grandchildren Spencer, Oscar, and Olivia; his father Ray; sisters Debbie Burgin (Bill) and Sherry (Don); father in law Robert Bussey (Joyce); and many other relatives and friends. A kind-hearted, hard-working, and loving man, Walter touched the hearts of everyone he met. His jovial nature and love of people made him a charming and irresistable conversationalist who has left behind many broken hearts. A celebration of life will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Sunday December 16, 2012 between the hours of 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
