Obituary of S.C. "Sib" Preston

Sib Preston, 79, of Lower Coverdale and formerly of Moncton, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Thursday, February 14, 2013. Born in the Miramichi, he was the son of the late Silbert and Mary (Goddard) Preston. A local businessman, he operated Curll's Clothing and Escape Night Club during the 60's and 70's. Sib enjoying spending time with family and in the wilderness, especially in the Canaan River area. A loving and caring father, brother and friend he will be sadly missed by his daughter Shelley Farrell (Scott) of Lower Coverdale; his two sons Rod and David Preston both of Moncton; his siblings Pat (Scott), Bill (Mel) all of Fredericton, June of Halifax, NS, Betty (Bernie) of Boutaught Comox, Bob (Joanne) of Kingston, ON; sister-law Doreen Corbin (The late Rod), brother-in-law Bev Corbin and by all the Preston Family of the Miramichi. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Marlene Preston in 2002 and also by one sister Shirley (Russell). Honoring Sib's wishes cremation has taken place. There is no viewing or visitation at the Funeral Home. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. Donations in Sib's memory made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
