Obituary of Robert A. Gallant

Robert A. Gallant, 89, of Moncton, NB and formerly of Adamsville, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Born in Adamsville, NB; he was the son of the late Lucien and Eva (Petitpas) Gallant. Robert was employed as a carpenter and cabinet maker most of his life. He was a avid outdoorsman, he love to fish and hunt, he also enjoyed playing cards shuffle board and horse shoes. He will be missed by his daughters Brenda (Philippe) of Adamsville and Nancy (Alain) of Moncton; his sons Barry (Nancy) of Moncton and Brian of Toronto; five grandchildren Jamie, Monique, Mark, Stephanie and Bianca; four great-grandchildren; one sister Alida Cormier of Montreal; his brother Fidele (Stella) Gallant of Amqui, PQ; as well as nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Ida Gallant in 2008; by a sister Ella, also by two brothers Reginald and Alva. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton, NB on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel, on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Paul Leger officiating. Interment will be in Adamsville Baptist Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Robert's memory made to the Parkinson's Society Maritime Region would be appreciated by his family.
