Obituary of M. Ruby Watling, RN
M. Ruby Watling, RN, 81, of McNair Manor, Moncton; passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, April 11, 2014.
Born in Kouchibouguac, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Annie D. (MacDonald) Graham.
A former member of the nursing profession, Ruby worked at the Moncton Hospital until 1984. She attended St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Park St., Moncton. She was a former Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Moncton Hospital Nurses Auxiliary and of the Retired Nurses Association and a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star – Frank H. Tingley Chapter #5.
Ruby is survived by her loving husband George A. Watling; her daughter Deborah Watling of Moncton; her son Dana E. Watling (Shirley) of Brighton, ON; her sister Rhoda Kirkpatrick (Bob) of Saint John, NB; her three brothers Raymond Graham (Helen) of Sudbury, ON, Edward Graham (Rose) and George Graham both of Moncton; two half brothers Warren Carter (Eileen) of Miramichi, and Don Carter (Diane) of Sudbury, ON; as well as by several nieces and nephews.
Ruby is predeceased by her sister Janet Kingston (late Everett).
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home on Monday, April 14th, 2014 from 7pm to 9pm.
The memorial service will be held at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 171 Lutz Street, on Tuesday, April 15th, 2014 at 2:00pm with Reverend Charles Cook officiating.
Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
