Obituary of Robert Joseph Melanson

Robert Joseph Melanson, age 77 of Lakeville, passed away at the Moncton Hospital surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. He was a son of the late William and Germaine (LeBlanc) Melanson. Prior to his retirement, Bob was employed in Moncton with Pepsi and Marven’s . Spending time with friends and family was very important to Bob. In the past he enjoyed going to Treasure Island with his brother Donnie where they would go boating, fishing and play guitar. Robert is survived by his wife, Dianne Melanson; Daughter, Donna; sons Bob (Kamie), Kim (Kathy) and Larry (Sandra); brothers, Norman (Rose), Roger (Simone) and Joseph; 8 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, George, and his brother, Donnie. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd, Riverview. Family and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 1-2 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm from the funeral Home, Father Allison Carroll Officiating. Interment will take place in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Robert may do so to the Parkinson Society. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of the Moncton Hospital Intensive Care Unit for the excellent care Bob received.
