Obituary of Johan Elizabeth Horsman

Johan E. Horsman, 94, of Riverview, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. Born in Scalloway, Shetland Island, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Sinclair) Johnson. Johan came to Canada as a War Bride, meeting her husband Asael Horsman during WW II. She was a member of the War Brides Association of NB and a executive member of L.O.B.A., she was also active in her community with Home and School and many other organizations. She is survived by four sons Asael, Richard, William "Bill" and John; also by several grand and great grandchildren. Johan was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Asael L Horsman in 1994 and by a sister Ina in 1940. Honoring Johan's wishes, visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Interment will be in Tingwall Kirkyard Cemetery, Shetland Islands, Scotland.
