Obituary of Sheila "Betty" Anne Lane

Betty Lane, 78, of Moncton, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Thursday, January 21, 2016. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Harold D. and Doris (MacKenzie) Bulmer. Betty was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Pine Glen. She enjoyed quilting, crafts, baking and decorating wedding cakes and collecting dolls, however greatest love was that of her family. A loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she will be sadly missed by her children Bonnie Helpard (Kevin) of Riverview, Harold Lane (Geraldine) of Salisbury, Thomas "Tom" Lane (Virginia) and George "Todd" Lane (Bell) of Ontario; by her much cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Sylvia Reade (George) of Riverview, Sandra of Moncton, Wendy Darlow and Wanda Wickens both of Ontario; as well as nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband George W. Lane, daughter Susan Melanson, grandson Troy and by brothers Gary Bulmer and David Jones. The family will receive relatives and friends at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB on Monday, January 25, 2016, from12 noon until 1pm. The Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Rev. James Eagles officiating. Interment will be in Wilmot Memorial Cemetery, Lower Coverdale, NB in the spring. Donations in Betty's memory made to the Children's Wish Foundation, Diabetes Association or to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
