Obituary of Thordis Elizabeth Duffy

Thordis E. Duffy, 97, formerly of North St. Moncton, NB; passed away at Forest Dale Nursing Home, Riverside-Albert, NB., on Thursday, January 28, 2016. Born in Moncton, NB; she was the daughter of the late Warren and Kate (McLaughlin) Duffy. Thordis was employed with the CN Police Dept. retiring in 1980. She was a former member of First Baptist Church Moncton, she was also a former member of the WMS of First Baptist and a member of the CN Pensioners Association. She is survived by her sister-in-law Lavada Duffy of Hillsborough, NB. Dale Duffy (nephew the late Kenneth) of PEI and Kent Dagenais (niece the late Sharon) of BC; as well as grand nieces Leanne, Tammy, Kimberley and Samantha and their families. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers Ralph and Raymond Duffy and by nephews Kenneth and Stephen Duffy; her niece Sharon Dagenais and grand nephew Shawn Duffy. Honoring Thordis wishes, cremation has taken place at Tuttle Brothers Limited (TBL) Crematorium, Coverdale Rd. Riverview and a family graveside/committal service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton in the spring. Donations made to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
