Obituary of Robert B. Scott
Robert B. Scott, of Harcourt, NB; passed away with family by his side at The Moncton Hospital, on Thursday, March 17, 2016.
Born in Harcourt, NB he was the son of the late Andrew and Emily (Young) Scott. He retired early (1985) from the Canadian National Railway Accounting Department in Moncton and enjoyed spending time with his fellow colleagues hanging out at Highfield Square and from time to time they enjoyed the odd beverage at the Chris Rock Pub. Bob loved life and never shied away from a good time or a gathering with people. He was very quick with a story or a joke that always brought a smile to all those around him. When his family was younger he enjoyed taking them to Cassie Cape Beach, he loved the beach and the outdoors and he always had a healthy tanned look about him. He was a huge baseball fan and took great pleasure in umpiring ball. He was a Toronto fan and rooted for his Blue Jays and Maple Leafs even though they frustrated him on a regular basis. In his later years when he wasn't in the armchair managing his sports teams, he spent his time pampering his dog Brandy and sharpening chains in Glenn's shop. He was a wonderful man who will be dearly missed by all.
He is survived by daughters Debbie and Glenn Agnew of Harcourt, Darlene Scott of Moncton, Bev Stewart and Logan Beers of Fordbank, Sherry Eagles of Moncton; sons Jason Scott of Moncton and Garth Ward of Ontario; grandchildren Tracy, Trina, Dana, Stevie, Billi-jo, Melissa, Jamie, Lindsay; 17 great grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his beloved wife Jeanette (LeBlanc) Scott in 2012 who he missed dearly; sons in law Scotty Stewart 2006 and Kevin Eagles in 2013; sister Rose Mary Thompson and brother Harold Scott.
