Obituary of William "Bill" Judson Jones

Sadly we announce the passing of Bill Jones of Riverview and formerly Route, 895 Elgin and Moncton on April 1, 2016 at Shannex Parkland. He was the husband of the late Enid (Hicks) Jones who passed away in 1992. Born in Sunny Brae, he was the son of the late Judson and Beatrice (Downing) Jones. After serving in the Canadian Navy during WW II, he worked as a truck driver for CN Express for 40 years until retirement. For years he and Enid loved fishing, hunting and exploring nature at the "camp" on the Kennebecasis. In their retirement they enjoyed many memorable vacations, especially to Europe, Britain and their return trip across Canada in their VW camper. And he did many crafts, but his favourite pastime was his cross stitch hobby creating many beautiful works. Bill was a kind and caring husband, father and "Pampie". He will be sadly missed by his three children Caroline Jones of Charlottetown, PE; Helen Forster of Port Alberni, BC and Sandra (Rick) Arnold of Moncton; five grandchildren Stephen (Natalia) Madden, Terry Forster, Tina (Mark) Frew, Chelsie (Rob) Gallant and Lindsay (Geoff) Paulin and eleven great-grandchildren. Besides his parents and his wife he was predeceased by a daughter Phyllis in 2013 and a brother Walter in 2010 In respecting Bill's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. A private family service will be held. Donations in Bill's memory made to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family. The Family really appreciate all the very loving care given to our Dad by all the staff at Parkland Monarch Hall, Riverview over the many years. There could never have been better caring for him and he was always very content. Arrangements and Cremation have been entrusted to Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd.
