Obituary of Josephine "Josie" Elizabeth Crossman

Josephine "Josie" Elizabeth Crossman of Riverview, passed away peacefully; passed away at Monarch Hall Riverview on Sunday, March 26, 2017. Born on August 7, 1921, she was the daughter the late Allison and Annie Mitton of Prosser Brook. Josie was an avid bowler and went on many tournaments. She was a very talented person she enjoyed cross-stitching and making quilts for her family, grandchildren and friends. Josie enjoyed family gatherings and loved to cook for us all. She had a love for life and lived each day to the fullest. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Moncton. A loving mother, mother in law, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she will be sadly missed by her two children Don (Jeanne) of Moncton and Debbie (the late Lester Lane) of Riverview; daughter in laws Sharon Crossman, Heather Crossman and Wendy Barron; twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; her sisters Pauline Lamarr, Margaret Gauvin and Gertrude Wilson as well as many nieces and nephews; sisters in law Angie and Alberta, also by her life long friend Elenor Milburn. She was predeceased by her husband Alex Crossman, two sons Larry and Harry, son in law Lester Lane, daughter in law Faye (Snider) Crossman; brothers Norm, Allison, Ron, Ervin, Clinton and Evan; sisters Rose Lillian and Irene as well special sister in law Mary Mitton Resting at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview with visitation on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. The Funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Corner of Morton Ave and McLaughlin Dr. Moncton on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 2:00pm with Pastor Robert Payne officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens Donations in Josie's memory made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
