Obituary of James B. Barton

James B. Barton, of Moncton, passed away at his residence, on Thursday, October 12, 2017.Born in Springhill NS., he was a son of the late Joseph and Jewel (Rushton) Barton. Jim was a former employee of UPS as a customer service Rep. He attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Riverview. Jim was very social and enjoyed sharing his stories with the people around him. Survived by Special friend, James LeBlanc of Moncton; sister, Joanne Furlong of Edmonton, AB.; nephew, Scott Goodwin; nieces, Lynn Goodwin and Jennifer Furlong; great nephews, Levi Jack Martin and Roshan Pandhi; great niece Brittney Goodwin. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by brother John Barton. Parish prayers and sharing of memories will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 8:30 pm. A Funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 5 Fatima Dr., Riverview, on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 am with Fr. Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment will be in Springhill Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in Jim's memory made to the NB Lung Association or House of Nazareth would be appreciated.
